Picture the scene: stood at the train station waiting as you would imagine for a train. Looking over to the other platform, I see the top film poster, 'The Men Who Stare At Goats' (2009.) Not a great film and often boring at times. So, if you will, compare and contrast with the bottom film poster, 'Burn After Reading' (2008,) what I would consider to be a good film by the Coen Brothers. I really don't like though the way that these two look remarkably similar: note the identical uneven letters, the silhouettes either side of the titles, the oddly similar colour scheme... I could go on. Is there no originality in (I dare to say it) Hollywood.
One the topic of the Coen Brothers, I watched their film 'Fargo' the other day. It was real nice. I do like the Coen Brothers as a rule, I especially enjoyed their latest ensemble 'A Serious man' which I saw in the cinema a few months ago, one of the best endings to a film I remember in a while.
"I've tried to be a serious man..."
